How many of you have ever wondered why someone started a business?
This question comes up often for those who have taken the leap to start their own business, including myself. I wanted to share the "why" behind me starting the research lab.
Passionate about conducting research.
Research is what we live for and love! I want to make a impact in different societal groups and communities, and research is the best tool I can utilize to make that impact, remain ethical, and further knowledge. Research doesn't solely have to be in the academic setting, but can be used in a business setting. For example, I enjoy conducting research to gain insight on markets and demographics our business is reaching, as well as gaining insight on the experiences of those who utilize our services and products.
Want to make free or affordable resources available.
I've witness some challenges of different organizations or institutions who did not have the knowledge or resource-base to develop data collection tools (such as surveys, questionnaires, interview questions) that did not lead a participant to provide a desired response. Additionally, I love helping and providing guidance in how to achieve the goal you're looking for whether it's at the professor level, analyst level, research or consulting level.
Flexibility in the research, resources, tools used for groups of all levels and backgrounds.
While achieving and holding master and doctorate level degrees, this allows us to have more flexibility in the research topics and interests. Of course, with your needs and wants for data collection and data analysis, we are more than happy to tailor data collection and analysis resources based on the specific wants, needs, tool/collection development and resources.
We provide ourselves in the teaching moments we've gained while working and conducting research in different business settings, such as a national bank, as well as the academic setting.
